Welcome to Churchtown Nursery, where your child’s happiness and well-being are at the heart of everything we do.
Our caring and enthusiastic team is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where little ones can show joy, grow in confidence and become independent little learners. We love to see children flourish as curious learners, discovering the world through play and new friendships.
We’re delighted to offer nursery places for children aged 2 to 4 years:
- Snowdrops (2-year-old room): 20 places available for children from the term after their 2nd birthday.
- Buttercups (3–4-year-old room): 50 places available for children from the term after their 3rd birthday.
We know these early years are such an important stage in your child’s development. That’s why our approach goes beyond learning skills—we focus just as much on their happiness, confidence, and emotional well-being. By recognising each child’s unique interests, we can plan engaging opportunities that spark curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Our partnership with you begins before your child even starts. We’re here to support you and your family every step of the way, making the transition into nursery as smooth, reassuring, and exciting as possible.

Our Early Years Aims
We aim to:
Provide a stimulating environment, by planning high quality; purposeful play opportunities, which are based on children’s interests making learning fun and meaningful.
Allow children to explore, experiment and consolidate their learning through hands on opportunities in a safe environment where they are able to achieve and reach their potential.
Enable children to become independent learners and develop the skills to co-operate, share, negotiate and work as a team.
Develop close partnerships where parents and practitioners work together and learn from each other in order to share information and celebrate children’s achievement.
Provide a nurturing, caring environment where children feel safe, happy and valued as individuals.
